App Review: Pulse News

Pulse news is an app that brings in all your blogs, social networks and magazines in a single app which allows you to read any of them any way you want. It also allows you to share the news directly from the app. The app is great for people who keep traveling.

The interface of the app is very easy to use. After installing the app you need to signup for a pulse account or you can log in through your Facebook account. After logging in you have to select your point of interest like business, technology, games etc. After selecting your point of interest you can view the content from the top blogs and you can add more blogs by clicking add content.

The content is in the form of thumbnails in a carousels which can be swiped left and right to view new or older posts. If you want to read the full article then you have to click on the thumbnail and it will expand it. You can also switch between articles in full page mode just by swiping left or right.

The app also has some great features like highlighting a topic , saving stories to read later on evernote or Google reader, support for offline reading via offline sync  and integration with Google reader which allows you to sync your RSS feeds directly from Google reader into the app. The app also provides dual view where you can switch between a clean summary and a web version of the article. The app also allows us to sync all our sources and point of interests to multiple accounts if we have a pulse account. The app is also optimized for tablet view and provides a great experience even with tablets.

Conclusion: Overall the interface of the app is very good and app provides you with great content. The only problem we faced was that the sharing the posts was a bit complicated and apart from this the app is very good and is very convenient to use with all the new features it provides.

The app is available via Google Play and App store.
